41st INDIA TOURIST AND INDUSTRIAL FAIR 2015 AT AT ISLAND GROUNDS, CHENNAI, IS HELD USUALLY FOR 70DAYS  STARTING FROM 3^RD WEEK OF DECEMBER.

               ONE CAN ENTER FROM ANNASALAI SIDE AS THERE IS ENOUGH CAR PARKING AVAILABLE, BUT ONE HAS TO PAY RS60 FOR CARPARKING WHICH IS MUCH MORE COSTLIER THAN THE ACTUAL ENTRY TICKET PRICE OF RS20 FOR ADULT AND RS10 FOR KIDS. EVEN THERE IS A ENTRY FROM WAR MEMORIAL SIDE FROM NAPIER BRIDGE

                     ONE CAN PARTICIPATE IN LUCKY DRAW AT THE MAIN ENTRANCE BY MENTIONING THEIR TICKET NUMBER,

                          FAIR HAS TwO SECTION ONE FOR PRIVATE PLAYERS AND ANOTHER FOR GOVT OF TAMILNADU DEPARTMENT

                        THERE IS  3 Wooden bridges CONSTRUCTED  temporarily across the coovum river at Island Grounds, SO ONCE YOU ENTER FROM ANNA SALAI SIDE YOU WILL SEE ARE THE PRIVATE PLAYERS STALL , AND ONCE YOU CROSS THE BRIDGE YOU WILL SEE Government Department, Corporations, Boards/ Authorities/Government  STALLS . Products of Fisheries Department / Aavin / Horticulture Department. ARE ALSO AVAILABLE

                                    AMUSEMENT PARK IS ALSO THERE WHICH HAS SOME Innovative and new variety of amusement rides FOR WHICH YOU HAVE TO PAY FEE AT THE COUNTER NEAR EACH RIDES .

   

 The Mini Train available at Island Ground IS A STAR ATTRACTION AMONG ALL .

There are so many food stalls with our bhajji and appalam as there main menu , and there are various food items available at reasonable price.IF YOUR A foodie you will have a field day as there are so many oily items available,and if you dont mind extra calories enjoy masalapoori, famous samosa, cholapoori,.then you have regular stalls selling filtercoffe, juice, popcorn,sugarcanejuice,etc

                  if you want to enjoy crowd free go on weekdays ,weekends are so crowded that its difficult to visit all stalls.

timing:  mon to saturday- 3.00pm --10.00pm

             sunday and other public holiday --11.00am to 10.00pm

i went on sunday 2.30pm and was able to come out at 6.00pm skipping some as crowd was pouring in ,
